Scholarship Guidelines for Continuing/Transfer Students
Continuing/Transfer Student Deadline for the Spring 2025 Semester:
Application Deadline: Monday, February 10, 2025.
Up to 5 Scholarships Available
Amount: $1,000 per semester (up to eight semesters or degree completion for a Bachelor's degree, whichever occurs first; up to four semesters or degree completion for an Associate's degree, whichever occurs first).
For eligibility, applicants must:
- Apply and be accepted to Berkeley College (any campus or online) for the winter 2025 semester.
- Enroll in a Berkeley College Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program as a full-time student.
- Submit FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
Requirements: In order to continue receiving the Berkeley College Foundation Scholarship, recipients must:
- Maintain full-time continuous enrollment. Recipient may take no more than one (1) semester leave of absence and to be considered for eligibility upon readmission.
- Show a financial need based on the outcomes from the FAFSA.
- Must provide 5 volunteer or community service hours per academic year.
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 each academic year.
Additional terms:
Berkeley College and Berkeley College Foundation employees and family members are not eligible to apply for this scholarship. Students applying on a non-immigrant visa are not eligible to apply for this scholarship. Applicants who are selected to receive full-tuition scholarships from Berkeley College are not eligible to apply. Students who complete their first degree program and choose to enroll in a second degree program may re-apply for the scholarship. Scholarship eligibility ends upon completion of the first degree program or at the end of eight semesters, whichever comes first.
Students who elect to participate in a Study Abroad program while enrolled at Berkeley College will continue to receive the scholarship.

It helped me tremendously. Being a recipient of the Berkeley College Foundation scholarship led me to graduate on time and continue toward my goals. I am now a part of the Rutgers Law School Minority Student Program for future law students. If it had not been for the Foundation, I am not sure I would have had the success I have had.
What advice or inspiration would you offer today’s college-age students?
My mantra is: Be determined, be intentional, and always trust yourself.

The Berkeley College Foundation scholarship helped me achieve my dreams by providing academic and professional mentors who were generous with their time and resources while sharing their years of experience. I turned my thoughts, ideas, and dreams into a reality that directly contributed to the success I have had since graduating. The scholarship created opportunities for me I would not have had without the Foundation recognizing my goals and drive to accomplish them.
What advice or inspiration would you offer today’s college-age students?
My advice to today’s college-age students is to start a business your freshman year and adopt the perspective of a business owner, investor, manager, and operator instead of exclusively as an employee or team member. Seek opportunities to apply the business lessons and theories from your lectures and professors to a business you build every semester.

During high school, Accounting was my favorite subject so I decided to pursue it as a profession. The Berkeley College Foundation provided financial assistance toward my tuition, allowing me to focus on my studies.
What advice or inspiration would you offer today’s college-age students?
Berkeley College has provided all the resources students need to succeed. The Center for Academic Success is an excellent place to get much-needed assistance in challenging areas of study. Get to know your professors – they are always willing to help or guide you to the resources available to assist you.

What makes you passionate about your field?
I currently work for a global pharmaceutical company as a Contracts Associate, assisting the legal team with processing and finalizing contracts, from research and development contracts to clinical trial agreements. I find the work thoroughly rewarding! The position involves the perfect blend of the legal and healthcare fields, both of which I truly enjoy. Additionally, the position is hybrid remote, which allows me to spend more time at home with my family. As a married mother of three young children, it certainly helps me stay involved in our busy home life, making all our lives much easier and more fulfilled. I have never been happier in my professional and personal life, and I owe it all to Berkeley!
How did the Berkeley College Foundation scholarship help you achieve your dreams?
Although I had received an Associate’s degree in my early 20s, I dreamed of one day being able to go back to school to obtain my Bachelor’s degree. But with a busy family life, my dream was pushed to the back burner. Before I knew it, 15 years had gone by, and it seemed impossible that I would ever finish school. I read about how Berkeley had a good program for Legal Studies that was completely online, which was a perfect fit for me and my demanding schedule. The cost of attending was still a concern, until the Berkeley College Foundation scholarship changed my life. I was awarded the necessary funds to make my dreams a reality. Two years later, I graduated magna cum laude and received my B.S. in Legal Studies. It was one of the happiest days of my life.
What advice or inspiration would you offer today’s college-age students?
Keep your eyes on the prize. There may come a time when you will feel overwhelmed and even consider giving up on pursuing your studies, especially when class schedules and the course workload become demanding. But stick with it! When things get tough, don’t hesitate to reach out to friends and family for support, or to seek out help from professors and school resources. Pursue an education and career in a field you enjoy. Nothing is more rewarding than working in a job you love!
