A Message from the Executive Director - Summer-Fall 2025

Warm greetings from the Berkeley College Foundation!

We hope you are enjoying both a restful and vibrant summer, filled with quality time, sunshine, and taking advantage of what the season has to offer.

As many of you know, the Berkeley College Foundation (BCF) was established in 2015, and we are thrilled to be celebrating our 10th anniversary this year. Over the past decade, we’ve made great strides in advancing our mission. We are proud to announce that the number of scholarships awarded annually will double for the 2025-2026 academic term. Expanding access to education remains at the heart of everything we do, and our goal is to continue growing this impact in the years to come.

We are proud to share another milestone in giving back to the community. Since its inception, the BCF has launched three Berkeley College campus food pantries, which collectively filled a total of 1,716 student orders during from the Spring 2024 term through the Winter 2025 term. Our goal is to ensure no Berkeley College student faces food insecurity, because every student deserves to thrive, not just survive.

This progress has been made possible by the many helping hands—past, present, and future—that have powered the BCF’s mission forward. As we have said before and will say again: none of this would be possible without the generosity of our Berkeley College community. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference. It truly takes a village. We are delighted to welcome Nico Caraballo to our BCF Board of Directors. With extensive experience in the nonprofit sector and robust enthusiasm, he will be a valuable asset to our team. We also extend our deepest thanks to Nancy Robles, who served on our Board of Directors with dedication for seven years and remains a passionate advocate for our cause.

The BCF’s 8th Annual Golf Outing, held on June 2, 2025, was a true success in all aspects: fundraising, weather, camaraderie, and community spirit. A big and heartfelt thanks goes to new and loyal sponsors, participants, BCF Board members, staff volunteers, and our Golf Chair, Melvin Montalvo. Much hard work and dedication went into ensuring it was a smooth and enjoyable event.

Join us on Thursday, November 20, 2025, as we celebrate the BCF’s 10th Anniversary and Annual BCF Scholarship Awards Reception. The event is open to all the Berkeley College community and will be held at La Neve’s Banquet Hall in Haledon, NJ, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
